Febbraro says the study looked at three separate groups of patients with ovarian cancer based on the length of time they receieved chemotherapy, with the group being on chemotherapy the longest having the worst overall survival rates.
Febbraro says patients in the other two groups of the study were receieving either hormal treatment or were not receiving any treatment at all. Febbraro says patients in the first group had an overall survival of about 44 months, while the patients in the group that were on chemotherapy the longest had an overall survival of about 31 months.
