Dr Holowatyj is an assistant professor of medicine and cancer biology in the Division of Epidemiology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

In our exclusive interview, Dr Holowatyj discussed symptoms associated with appendix cancer, challenges related to understanding the incidence and risk factors of this disease, and ongoing research regarding potential genetic links to this rare cancer.
