Warner hopes there will be less prostate cancer surgery and radiation therapy moving forward. MRI and genomic markers have helped better identify the severity of the cancer and which genes are the most aggressive, explains Warner.
Oncologists need a better way to determine which patients with prostate cancer are observational. While there have been advancements in the field, there is still a lot of progress that needs to be made, says Warner.
