Tumor boards at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital consist of interventional gastroenterologists, surgeons, imaging specialists, pathologists, medical oncologists, and radiation oncologists.
Additionally, team members from supportive care including a nutritionist and social worker may be present to offer insight on other issues that can arise over the course of treatment, concludes Unger.
