The phase II prospective precision medicine CREATE trial investigated crizotinib (Xalkori) in patients with advanced, inoperable inflammatory myofibroblastic tumors with or without 

alterations. Among 12 eligible and evaluable 

-positive patients, 6 achieved a confirmed partial or complete response, 1 a non-confirmed partial response. Five patients had stable disease as best response.

-positive population, there was an overall response rate of 50%, with a disease control rate of 100%. In those with 

-negative disease, there were sporadic responses and disease stabilization, notes Schöffski. Common crizotinib-related adverse events were nausea (55%), fatigue (45%), blurred vision (45%), vomiting (35%), diarrhea (35%).
