Thyroid cancer management is is moving towards a more multidisciplinary approach, Randolph explains.

It is important to note that specialists such as endocrinologists have a role in tumor surveillance, for example, and there is an increasing number of endocrinologists with oncologic experience. Oncologists are taking a more active role in the multidisciplinary treatment of patients with advanced disease, he adds.
