Dr. Goy on John Theurer Cancer Center Milestone

Andre Goy, MD, MS, chairman and director, chief of Lymphoma, director, Clinical and Translational Cancer Research, discusses an upcoming event at John Theurer Cancer Center in honor of the institution's 25th anniversary of its first bone marrow transplant.

John Theurer Cancer Center will hold an event commemorating the milestone on December 10, 2015. The event is open to practicing oncologists and researchers, explains Goy, and Siddhartha Mukherjee, MD, author of The Emperor of All Maladies: A Biography of Cancer, will also be in attendance to deliver a keynote speech.

The cancer center has conducted 6000 bone marrow transplants on patients, 40% of which are allogeneic bone marrow transplants.
